9/16″ U-Bolt Nut, Tall
A U-bolt nut is a threaded fastener that screws onto the ends of a U-bolt. They come in different styles and designs. In trailer and vehicle suspensions, U-bolt nuts hold the leaf springs, tie plates, and axles firmly together under high clamping force. U-bolts and U-bolt nuts are toque specific based on application and thread diameter. At John’s Spring, we carry what are commonly called “high nuts” or “deep nuts” which are about double the thickness of a standard fastener. This allows for maximum surface area and contact with the U-bolt threads.
