Restore ride height, stability, and load capacity with expert suspension repair.

Professional Leaf Spring Repair for Trucks & Trailers

Leaf springs are a critical part of your vehicle’s suspension system. They support the vehicle’s weight, absorb road shock, and keep your truck or trailer stable under load. Over time, leaf springs can sag, crack, or break, affecting ride quality and safety.

At John’s Spring & Suspension, we specialize in diagnosing and repairing leaf spring issues for pickup trucks, heavy-duty trucks, and trailers.

Signs Your Leaf Springs Need Repair

Common symptoms include:

  • Truck sagging or leaning to one side
  • Excessive bouncing after bumps
  • Clunking or squeaking noises
  • Uneven tire wear
  • Reduced towing stability
  • Rear suspension bottoming out
  • Visible cracked or broken leaves

Early repair can prevent damage to other suspension components.

My experience at John's Spring and Suspension was great. The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They had me in and out in one day and the most impressive thing was that they didn't try to upsell me on parts and services that I didn't need. I'll definitely be back to John's.

GREAT SERVICE! Saved us while traveling home to St. George Utah last week. If you have a large 5th wheel, replace the factory garbage with John's Spring Springs! Upon inspection of our tires on our 39ft Montana 5th wheel 45 miles from Reno, I noticed the axle alignment was off. Upon further inspection the main leaf on the back axle broke causing the axle to shift. We called 2 major RV stores in Reno which would have been zero help except the second referred us to some place called John's Springs. We thought we would hit a dead end until they answered the call & invited us to limp in so they could take a look but warned us how busy the shop was. After inspect & knowing our situation & having the HD version of those springs available, they made it happen first thing the following morning. We were on the road at 10am & home by dusk. We replaced all 4 springs with their In-House built 7 leaf springs which will never fail us! Veteran Owned & I am proud to have found them!

I was traveling through and had a trailer break both front springs. After searching a bunch of other places Johns Springs was recommended and I had 4 new heavier duty leaves springs for my trailer made in the matter of a few hours. I was stressed what I was going to so but was put at ease knowing I won't have any more leave spring issues. Thanks John springs for getting me taken care of so fast and on a Friday. Definitely would recommend them to anyone else.

I had them install new leaf springs on my F250 to address some squat while towing and upgrade some suspension components on my RV. The whole rig handles much better now, with less squat and a smoother ride overall while towing.

Leaf Spring Repair & Replacement FAQs

How long do leaf springs last?

Leaf springs can last many years, but heavy loads, rough roads, and corrosion can cause wear or sagging over time.

Can a broken leaf spring be repaired or does it need replacement?

In many cases, a single broken leaf can be replaced without replacing the entire spring pack.

How much does leaf spring repair cost?

Costs depend on the vehicle type, parts required, and extent of damage. Simple repairs are usually more affordable than full replacements.

Is it safe to drive with a broken leaf spring?

Driving with a broken leaf spring is not recommended because it can affect vehicle stability and cause additional suspension damage.

What causes leaf springs to sag?

Heavy loads, repeated stress, corrosion, and age can cause leaf springs to lose their arch and reduce ride height.

Do I need an alignment after replacing leaf springs?

Yes, suspension repairs often require an alignment to ensure proper tire wear and vehicle handling.

How long does leaf spring repair take?

Many repairs can be completed the same day depending on the parts required.

Can you upgrade my truck’s suspension for towing?

Yes. Add-a-leaf upgrades and heavy-duty spring packs can increase load capacity and improve towing stability.
