In the 1970s, Graciela and Norberto (Bocha) Aguilar immigrated to the United States from Argentina. They arrived with their young daughter and $27 in their pocket. Through hard work and dedication, they lived their American dream and established John’s Spring Service in Reno in 1978. The namesake of the business is after Graciela’s father, John, who was an active partner in the early years of operation.
The company quickly built a strong reputation within the Reno community for their trustworthiness, hard work, and customer service. When Graciela and Bocha were looking to retire, it was important to them that they sold the business to someone who would uphold these values and take the business into the future. They chose Michael Colyer because it is his ultimate goal to uphold those same qualities and traits that have been established over the decades. Michael also has a vision to grow the business to better serve the suspension repair needs of John’s customers for the next 40 years and beyond.
