Meet Our Owner, Michael Colyer 

John’s owner, Michael Colyer, is a native Nevadan who grew up in Gardnerville and worked at his dad’s diesel engine distribution business until he went to college at the University of Nevada Reno. He holds an undergraduate degree in business management and a master’s of business administration, both from UNR.

Michael is also an officer in the Nevada Army National Guard and for over 10 years belonged to 1-221 CAV, an Armored Reconnaissance unit out of Las Vegas, where he served as a Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, Operations Officer, and Company Commander. Michael is an entrepreneur at heart and purchasing John’s Spring and Suspension was the perfect fit. He is very attracted to the combination of Parts and Service and saw an opportunity to better serve customers and expand the business.
