As a dedicated suspension repair shop, we specialize in suspension repair for vehicles of all sizes, including light-duty pickups, vocational trucks, trailers, tractors, and specialized equipment used in mining and farming. From replacing entire leaf springs to repairing individual leaves, we provide solutions that restore strength, stability, and performance.

We also manufacture custom U-bolts on-site, offering a wide variety of rod lengths and diameters to meet nearly any suspension need.

Meet Our Owner, Michael Colyer

John’s owner, Michael Colyer, is a native Nevadan who grew up in Gardnerville and worked at his father’s diesel engine distribution business until he attended college at the University of Nevada, Reno. He holds both an undergraduate degree in Business Management and an MBA from UNR.

Michael is also an officer in the Nevada Army National Guard and, for over 10 years, belonged to 1-221 CAV, an Armored Reconnaissance unit out of Las Vegas, where he served as a Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, Operations Officer, and Company Commander.

Michael’s entrepreneurial vision and passion for service made purchasing John’s Spring and Suspension the perfect fit. He saw an opportunity to grow the business by combining quality parts, expert service, and a commitment to better serving the Reno community.
